Alpha Xi Delta

Zeta Chi at University of North Carolina - Wilmington

Chapter Philanthropy

The Zeta Chi Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the UNC Wilmington campus and community. The world's largest autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks, is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; to funding research for the causes, prevention and treatments for autism; and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Our Sisters look forward to increasing autism awareness on our campus and to working with Autism Speaks. With one in 68 children diagnosed with autism and without a known cure, Alpha Xi Delta is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism. We hope our fundraising and awareness efforts can help put one more piece of the autism puzzle in place.

It is through our philanthropy events that we raise money for this worthy cause. Every semester, we hold a main event that takes months of planning and preparation. We occasionally have smaller events throughout the semester that benefit Autism Speaks or other phenomenal non-profits.

This semester's major philanthropy event benefiting Autism Speaks is Fall FrenXi! The event will be held Wed., Oct. 29 5pm to 7pm and will include a Xi Man Competition, pumpkin painting, a bake sale, Penny Wars, and a dunking booth. Come on out for some seasonal fun!

We look forward to continuing our contribution for Autism Speaks with even more successful events in the years to come.
